Living outside my home country made me realise and appreciate the importance of the English language. I have always enjoyed writing and have regularly kept a diary, particularly during my time in the Middle East.  During this period, I also spent time reading and working with children in a British school in Abu Dhabi, which is when I  realised how special the gift of language is. \r\nSince my return to the Netherlands, giving extra English tutoring to Dutch children crossed my path, and has given me the privilege of helping some of the younger generation master the language. This has progressed and branched out into translating Dutch into English, and a new business venture which I named Pen\u2019s Point came to fruition. \r\nI have recently translated the book 'I am Semba' which has been an enlightening and motivating experience into the intriguing world of writers and it has opened a new window of opportunity for me, both as a translator and as a writer.
